What should you do with your groceries if you lose power in a storm? Inside Edition spoke with chef Franklin Becker, a food safety expert, to get some tips. First order of business is keeping things cold. Don’t open the fridge longer than necessary, and put any ice packs or dry ice you might have in the fridge. Eat beef first, as it will go bad the quickest. You can also fill your washing machine with ice to create a cooler, and the water will drain out as it melts.
