Wednesday, Senate Democrats tried to break the GOP filibuster of voting right legislation, but short of 60 votes necessary, they have failed to do so. Senate Majority Leader Schumer is expected to introduce legislation to change the filibuster rules in order to pass the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, which is expected to fail.
